In short
Use Wherely to understand where a photo appears publicly — never to harm, track, or expose someone.
1. Who can use Wherely
You must be 18 or older and able to agree to these terms. One account per person; keep your login to yourself.
2. What the service does
We compare a face from a photo you provide with images on publicly available pages and show possible matches. Results are possibilities, not confirmed identities.
3. Whose photos you may search
Only search yourself, or someone who has agreed to it, for a lawful reason. You confirm this before every search. Don’t upload photos of children.
4. Acceptable use
Don’t use results to stalk, harass, threaten, dox, or discriminate against anyone, or to make decisions about employment, housing, credit, or insurance.
5. Your photos
You confirm you have the right to use any photo you upload. We use it to run your search and don’t store it, as described in our Privacy policy.
6. Plans and payments
Plans renew weekly through the App Store or Google Play until you cancel there. Each search uses one search from your weekly allowance. If our face search partner can’t answer, the search is given back automatically. Unused searches don’t roll over. Refunds of store payments are handled by Apple or Google.
7. Accuracy
Public sources change and can be wrong. We don’t guarantee that a result is complete, current, or correct. Always verify before you rely on a result.
8. If you appear in results
You can ask us to remove your face and the results linked to it (see “Remove my face”), or email [email protected].
9. Suspension
We may suspend accounts that break these rules, including after reports from people shown in results.
10. Liability
Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law. Beyond that, to the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you paid us in the last 30 days.
11. Changes
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we’ll tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
